Planned Parenthood Literally Sold the Hearts of Aborted Babies to Scientists

New information has recently surfaced providing more evidence of Planned Parenthood’s involvement in the selling of fetal tissue from aborted babies. In 2018, a “Research Plan” was sent to the University of California San Diego (UCSD) Institutional Review Board. In it was some shocking information. The plan, conducted by scientists, stated: “We will collect tissues from fetuses ranging from 4 to 23 weeks gestational age from subjects undergoing elective surgical pregnancy termination at Planned Parenthood in San Diego.”

Allegedly, this proposal was “heavily redacted,” as multiple outlets have highlighted. But, in short, these “scientists were in search of 2,500 fetuses aborted up until about the sixth month of pregnancy for experimental purposes.” The New York Post recently received emails from David Daleiden, a pro-life activist who leads the Center for Medical Progress, that exposed Planned Parenthood for “negotiating terms” as it relates to the contract (the “Biological Materials Transfer Agreement”) they had with UCSD.

One of the emails listed “Heart Samples” in the subject line, and the thread went back and forth between one party asking for heart samples for a study, with the respondent from Planned Parenthood trying to receive further details. As the correspondence continued, it became clear that the researchers already had 27 heart samples but were requesting more — specifically “of varying fetal ages including 15 weeks and later.” While selling fetal tissue is illegal, donating it is not. As such, “The contract between UCSD and Planned Parenthood appears to allow Planned Parenthood to retain ‘intellectual property rights relating to the’ fetal tissue, although it also does not grant UCSD the independent right to ‘commercialize’ the tissue.”

Daleiden “obtained the emails by filing a California public records request,” and he shared his reaction with the Post:

“These documents show that Planned Parenthood is supplying healthy babies who are old enough to survive outside the womb from late-term abortions to the University of California’s royalty-generating experiments. After months of pro-abortion forces and media gaslighting the public about whether late term abortions on healthy babies and healthy mothers actually happen — to see it spelled out this explicitly in the records of a government-funded body is truly shocking [and] also extremely clarifying for the conversation on abortion our country is currently having.”

The fact that Planned Parenthood has been caught negotiating the sale of parts of aborted babies is not new information. In fact, Daleiden has worked undercover for years in his efforts to put a spotlight on what the abortion giant is doing behind the scenes. In the summer of 2015, he released covert videos of top Planned Parenthood officials talking over fees and prices related to fetal tissue and the transfer of it. At the time, Planned Parenthood denied that they did anything illegal.

However, their opposition was not limited to verbal disagreement but legal as well. Allegedly, the abortion hub played a role in then-California Attorney General Kamala Harris’s investigation of Daleiden. Additionally, he has since been hit by at least eight felony charges that include potential jail time in the state for the undercover videos. He’s also been accused of “manufacturing” a fake driver’s license to get inside Planned Parenthood offices in Houston. The Post noted that “a trial date has tentatively been set for next month in San Francisco Superior Court,” and that “Daleiden has pleaded not guilty to the charges.” But Daleiden continues his work in uncovering potential crimes within the abortion industry despite the challenges.

Mary Szoch, director of Family Research Council’s Center for Human Dignity, told The Washington Stand that “Americans shouldn’t be shocked when a corporation that profits off killing unborn babies is also profiting from the sale of their bodies.” She continued, “[W]e can’t imagine that people who are okay with killing unborn children would have any qualms about the use of their bodies. After all, if they can tell themselves that this is not a human being, that this is just a piece of tissue that can be disposed of, then what would stop them from selling those parts?”

Szoch emphasized: “We as Americans need to recognize that if there’s something in us that is horrified by the thought that these unborn babies’ bodies are being treated as commodities to be traded, then we need to be even more outraged that these unborn children are being brutally killed” in the first place.

“The most horrific part of this is not that the organs from these babies are being sold, though that is repulsive and evil. The most horrific part is that these babies were murdered,” Szoch concluded.
