America’s leading national political pro-life group responded today to Reproductive Rights for All (formerly NARAL) attack ads that cover for the crumbling Planned Parenthood while attacking GOP Members of Congress:
“These ads peddle false claims about defunding Big Abortion chains like Planned Parenthood. They want the viewer to believe defunding abortion businesses would cut benefits to women. Nothing is further than the truth. In fact, the amendment in question would not cut benefits at all. It simply cuts abortionists out of lucrative taxpayer funding streams, so women can obtain higher quality care at other facilities like the community health centers nationwide that outnumber Planned Parenthood by 15 to 1,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America.

“When the New York Times publishes an expose about substandard care at Planned Parenthood, we know the truth is finally breaking through. But if the unsanitary conditions revealed by the New York Times aren’t enough, consider this: while Planned Parenthood’s government money has gone up, their contraceptive and cancer screening services have plummeted. The services that have gone up are abortion, gender transitions and political campaigns to defeat Donald Trump and Republicans. That’s what Planned Parenthood is all about and women on Medicaid deserve better.
According to new data from the Charlotte Lozier Institute, community health centers outnumber Planned Parenthoods 15:1.
“Planned Parenthood is an abortion business, not a health care provider,” said Katie Glenn Danel, director of legal affairs and policy counsel. “Their limited services beyond abortion are on the decline: Planned Parenthood’s taxpayer funding increased by 43% since 2010, but cancer screenings, breast exams and pap smears have all dropped by more than 70% during the same time. Planned Parenthood’s contraception services are down by 39%. Despite deceptive messaging, Planned Parenthood does not perform any mammograms.
“Women deserve quality, comprehensive care. Planned Parenthood brazenly refuses to adhere to basic safety regulations—even lobbying against such requirements. When we defund Big Abortion, Medicaid recipients should receive better, more comprehensive care through the community health centers that outnumber Planned Parenthoods 15:1. Americans will no longer subsidize the industry that endangers women, kills unborn children and spends millions to elect woke politicians.”
A recent New York Times report from February 2025 uncovered shocking examples of poor patient care including a child who was stillborn when Planned Parenthood implanted an IUD when a woman was pregnant and a days-long sewage leak in a Nebraska facility that caused women to vomit. In Missouri, a Planned Parenthood was shut down for using moldy abortion equipment on women. In Colorado, an 18-year-old girl recently died from an abortion Planned Parenthood conducted at 22 weeks.
